The Spiritual Perfection of the Financial Crisis

Of course, I have tremendous compassion for all the people who are struggling financially. It is a terrible feeling and situation to lose your job, home, retirement fund, etc.

After the emotional, historic presidential election when people chose change and looked beyond the color of skin, I had a sudden awareness of what it took to get there. I know from my clients and myself, it often takes crisis to wake up and change. Many people had to be touched in their pockets and have their security threatened for them to wake up and realize that change was very necessary for the their well-being as well as the nations.

Another example is that it took the very high gas prices for people to take public transportation, ride their bikes, carpool more, and purchase energy efficient autos. It also reawakened interest in alternative fuel sources.

I honestly believe that our financial situation as well as our quality of life is improving and will continue to. Let's take the time to be grateful for what we do have and give the most valuable gift of unconditional love and caring to others and ourselves. With trust and faith, we can move forward in ease and grace.

Let's Pray The Perfect President Is Elected

Let's all pray that the perfect candidate, who serves for the good of all, will be elected for the next President of this great nation.

I think it is interesting that the country is so divided again in this election. I made my choice. Have you? It is so important to vote--they all count. If enough people don't think so, it can make a big difference. Thank heaven we can vote in this country. Let's do it!

Why Are People Greedy?

Many problems in the world can be traced back to greed. However, this is just a symptom of underlying feelings of their personal fear based, insecure beliefs (not good enough, not worthy, etc.).

Wouldn't it be nice if parents and teachers reinforced positive beliefs? How great it would be to hear these words: "You are worthy and good enough! You are important and a good person! You deserve love, health and success." With these reassuring words, we can like and love ourselves and care about others. Then greed would not cause so much harm.

Presidential Candidates Negative Models

If you are a parent or teacher would you encourage your child or student to convince people that they are better by verbally attacking the others involved? I do not think so! I believe that we are taught in school, appropriately so, to build good, positive, convincing presentations of what we can do to benefit the office or position.

Then why are the presidential candidates (and often other political candidates) such negative models by verbally attacking the other in an effort to convince people they are the best person for the position? Wouldn't it be great if they could model positive, convincing proposals?

Why We Support Negative, Hurtful Celebrities

As a Marriage, Family Therapist and sensitive person, I am aghast at the negative comments famous people make on television and radio. What amazes me is that obviously it is what the masses want, or these celebrities would not be paid very large sums of money to put people down in cruel ways.

All people have feelings, and they do not deserve to be criticized or humiliated, especially in public. For example, on the television talent shows, some judges say very cruel comments to the participants. Fortunately, the other judges often share their truth in a kind way.

Why do we allow such demeaning attacks on people? Is it because as we were growing up, most of us have received hurtful criticism from parents, relatives, teachers, other students, etc. ? It is what we are used to? Could it be because as adults we are still hurting from the blows to our self-esteem and somehow the critical expressions to others eases our pain?

Olympic Opening Ceremonies Competition?

I often hear people talking about the magnificence of the Chinese opening ceremony. I also appreciated the glorious display. However, I was not pleased to hear how many millions of dollars were spent for this event. I honestly believe that millions of Chinese people could have benefited greatly from the funds.

In my opinion, the leaders in every country have an obligation to help their people have their basic needs met of food, clothing and shelter. They exist to protect their citizens and assist people who are victims of disasters. It is also important for all Governments to provide education, equal opportunities, and much more to their people.

I was disturbed to hear things like, "How can anyone beat the Chinese ceremony!" Does the Olympic competition begin with the opening ceremony? How sad it is for the people, if that is the case. Especially during these hard economical times, it would be wonderful if countries valued providing for their citizens and created opening celebrations at a minimum cost. I would honor that county for their humane priorities. I am hoping that this wonderful precedent will be a reality in the near future.

Ego or Spirit

We all act from either ego or spirit and that includes states and countries. When our actions are ego based we are coming from a self-centered place. We have the intent to prove that we better than others, no matter the consequences. Note that it comes from a proving place which means we really don't feel great. If we did, what do we have to prove?

To the contrary, when we act from our spirit, we are self-caring, confident, and considerate also of others. Our intent is simply to demonstrate our gifts, etc. We do not feel we have to prove anything to anyone.

When we live consciously, we are aware when we are acting from our ego or spirit. Which one are you choosing?

The " F" Word That Causes Abuse and Wars

As a thearpist for over 29 years, I am totally convinced that abuse and wars are a symptom and not the cause of our problems. The four letter word that is the cause is FEAR! There is only Fear and Love and all other emotions are forms of these two. For example, anger is a secondary emotion. Under anger is fear, hurt and/or powerlessness. Most people are not dealing constructively with those emotions. Instead they are acting out their pain on others.

The solution is to have peace in ourselves which will lead to peace in our homes, neighborhoods, countries and the world. In order for that to happen it is vital for everyone to heal their emotional wounds, release their fears, and "love themselves to peace!" That is my mission and I feel it is the key to health, happiness, and world peace.

The Positive Side of High Gas Prices

During these record breaking times of ridiculous gas prices, I was pondering if there are any positive aspects. Of course, I have tremendous compassion for all the people who are struggling during these hard times. I also noticed that unfortunately it often takes a crisis for people and society to make major changes.
The alternative energies have been available for many years and they were not very popular for a few reasons. However, the high gas prices and problems resulting from dependency on oil from other countries have motivated people and governments to do the right thing for our planet and nationally security. Now we are all very interested in the available technology and exploring more healthier energy solutions.
Another positive is that many people will be spending more time home with their neighbors, friends, families, and themselves. People will need to re-evaluate their priorities. With less travel they may even have time to meditate, exercise, prepare healthy meals, read books, and explore their hobbies and talents.
Most couples would say that they miss having more time together. Children are needing quality time and attention to feel important, worthy, lovable and good enough.
Money is not the root of all evil, nor is it the key to happiness. I have had many wealthy clients who were successful and fortunate from society's perspective who were miserable. That is because happiness is an inside job. When I help people heal their emotional wounds and raise their self-esteem, they experience a new found happiness just being themselves.

The Joy of Service

I am enjoying offering free teleclasses. (http://www.helenerothschild.com/teleclass.html) What fun it is to be touching people internationally with ease and grace. I have learned so much as a therapist and I love to share it all.

As a spiritual teacher, I have learned that when I focus on the positive, on making a difference in a loving way, I am neutralizing the negativity of others. Love is our power!

We can make even a greater difference in the world if the newsreporters and broadcasters would focus on positive news. How great it would be if we heard and read about all the wonderful things happening in our country and others.

I find it interesting to see people horrified about the war but waiting on line all night to purchase a violent video game. The horror movies often do very well, too. I imagine that people do not realize how they are being programmed to enjoy violence. Hopefully, many people will wake up and realize that what you focus on is what your create in your reality.

Meanwhile, I am focusing on offering people the tools for successful, healthy, and happy living.I have new educational products including a relationship check-up. I have used this questionnaire for over 27 years to help loving partners discover the strengths and weaknesses of their relationship in five minutes. Once we identified the problems, we focused on the solutions.

Now it is available to everyone on my website: http://www.helenerothschild.com/reports.html
I also have written many new articles including topics such as: infidelity, selling homes, marriage vows, and why romance stops and how to keep it alive. Feel free to send me an email and I will guide you to them. helene@helenerothschild.com

Wishing you a transformational, loving, peaceful spring rebirth.

Many blessings, Helene
